On June 27th, 2023, CRDF Global and the Center for Global Health and Development (CGHD) convened the Creating Sustainable Financing for Case Studies on Women’s Health, Economic Empowerment and Nuclear Science and Technology via Zoom. This event, in support of the Sustained Dialogue on Peaceful Uses (SDPU), focused on analyzing case studies to identify gaps that can be scaled by nuclear science and technology and how best technical assistance can be structured to maximize impact and ensure sustainability. Key stakeholders included donors, development finance institutions, governments, private sector, philanthropists, and private sector investors to finalize design and structure of the case studies.

These discussions focused on addressing UN Sustainable Development Goal SDG3 (Good Health and Well-being) with a particular focus on Target 3.4 focused on reducing mortality from non-communicable diseases like cancer and Target 3.c focused on increasing sustainable financing to health systems.  The discussions also supported progress on related goals including SDG5 (Gender Equality), SDG9 (Industry and Innovation), and SDG10 (Reduced Inequalities).
